We’re standing in line, like the good singers we are. With a certain sense of pride, we show off our vaccination/test certificates. They are the entry ticket to our first physical rehearsal in what felt like forever. To stay on the safe side, we meet in a park. This makes the rehearsal even more special, as it kind of feels like a flash mob. In front of real people. Live. We can see and hear each other. We are heard. The acoustics outside are slightly problematic, but still better than online. Nobody needs to be reminded of switching their microphone on or off. The “original sound” setting is switched on automatically. We are standing in a circle, with Karin and her portable piano in the middle. We sing multiple lines, at the same time. What used to be obvious is now a luxury. For this, one is glad to have a swab stuck in their nose 🙂
